Challenge:
A 200,000 user migration to a Virtual Desktop Platform
To undertake this colossal project, we assembled a multifaceted team of desktop engineers, operational support staff, migration SMEs, project management staff, application development staff, and application remediation specialists.
Our strategy leveraged the power of our enterprise-grade products, each one tailored to meet the unique needs of the bank.
- Access Voyager automated the migration process, ensuring a zero-touch transition.
- Access Capture was deployed to assess, package, test and install all applications on the new cloud desktop platform.
- Access Symphony provided insights into existing personas and sizing requirements, while offering stability improvements on the new platform through fixes and desktop automation. This tool also enhanced user engagement through customised desktop notification messages.
This project wasn't just a success; it was a veritable triumph. Not only did we achieve the initial goal of user migration, but we also established a long-term partnership with the bank.
The client was so impressed with our products that they found multiple uses for them outside the scope of the user.

Challenge:
To migrate 95,000 users from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and Microsoft 365
The approach centred around automation at every step. Once the technical solution had been designed and approved, and a successful proof of concept had been delivered, it was important to scale up migrations as quickly as possible.
- To facilitate this Access Capture was used to automate and accelerate the application packaging and testing process.
- Access Voyager was used to fully automate the migration from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and once there to automate the migration of data to M365.
- To ensure that technology fixes were implemented rapidly Access Symphony used to implement tactical solutions which enabled migrations to continue while strategic solutions were designed and implemented.
Communications are always key to any migrations and the power of automated emails sent by Access Voyager in tandem with automated desktop notifications and user acceptance surveys generated by Access Symphony drove success in this critical area.

Challenge:
To design and implement a brand new Dynamics 365 environment for use by up to 46,000 users.
The approach was to set up the Engineering, Test and Production environments while ensuring that the client’s key procedural controls were met and that all necessary security, governance and architectural approvals were obtained.
As these environments were being set up we worked with key stakeholders to develop applications according to their requirements or to manage the migration of legacy services to the new Dynamics 365 platform.
Once the service was implemented and several applications had gone live, we worked with the client to recruit and train their new Dynamics 365 team so they could take on the new service and adopt the best practice processes as per the service design.

“Having worked with Eric and the team at Access on a number of different client projects since 2015, I have always found them to provide a professional and excellent service.
Due to their understanding of the Data and Analytics market, the candidates Access have put forward are clearly diligently validated and well considered for the role requirements.
The balanced approach which Access adopt, by being proactive without being overly sales focused or overbearing, makes for a good partnership and allows me to entrust them to help save much time and effort in assessing candidates for the roles I need in my teams.”
